This is an issue found in After Effects versions CS6 and CC.
After 30 seconds the background color changes to grey and everything becomes semi-transparent.
You will lose motion blur by doing this but can put that back in by adding an adjustment layer to the top of the composition and adding the effect CC Force Motion Blur to that layer. This will increase render time so perhaps do your test render before turning this on.
The file runs fine in CS5, so if you have access to this version you don’t need to worry about the above issue.
