^ OMG, I think I used the, "it'll be better for my future" bit to my parents too when I was a kid!!! (regarding computer upgrades of course)

One year I got a box of Memorex 5.25" floppies in *assorted* colors for Christmas. Yeah, I was pimpin' it.

It was that frase that got me my first mac. My father was/is very old school and he wanted me to take typing classes before buying the computer. Either he saw my "desperation" or that frase really did work.

So, Since we are all taking a stroll down memory lane, here is my list:
(from the point that I became a switcher)
1.iMac DV+ indigo blue- learned Final cut pro in one week for shooting a fake car commercial in a speech class when i first started college..
2. iBook G3 600mhz (white) - realized the power of OSX
3. powerbook 12 inch
4. dual 2.5 G5+ 30'apple display- the 30 incher is Def. worth the xtra cash.

Now that I own the HVX200 Im in need of a laptop again. So- I want to sell my G5, to afford a macbook pro - If anyone is interested contact me (anomolee@yahoo.com)

^ Glad to see the clips are getting uploaded. When Craig first told me about you, your link and that you were going to upload, I was like, "cool stuff!" Definitely adds diversity to the site.

I'm especially happy you shot that stuff in progressive mode with your DVX100. It breaks my heart when people shoot interlaced on a DVX100.

Well, I'm so &%§# old!
I start on a Sinclair ZX81 (AND STILL HAVE ONE OF THESE MODELS)!

than... Commodore VC20 (VIC20) with a Datarecorder and later with a Floppy - Apple I - Apple II - and after that time ONLY PC's. Right now I'm editing (Discreet EDIT6) on a older dual PIII (2x1GHz) with my full Matox Digisuite. My second editing/compositing station is on a dual Xenon (2x3 GHz) with PPro 2.0 etc. and for Graphics/Business and Internet I use a P4 (3.8GHz) and a Laptop.

Before you ask: Yes - I was one of blinds who buy Discreed Edit 6 only 9 months befor they kill that Program! Yes - I hate me for that but I hate my Dealer much more! And @ last, I pay the full prize for that programm!

My first Mac was a Mac Classic in 1990. I used Apple IIe's prior to that. But my first computer I layed hands on was a Commodore PET in 1982.
