1. AUDIO QUALITY - Our slogan when it comes to uploading your
audio files to RevoStock.com is, "Only upload the best." Upload audio
recorded and produced with the highest quality production values.
1.1 Audio Source:
Music and Sound Effects uploaded to
RevoStock.com should be created/recorded using only professional level audio
equipment ( microphones, mixers and instruments.)
Depending on the situation and the quality of the microphone, an on-camera
microphone is usually NOT an acceptable audio source. Sound recorded with
an on-camera microphone should not sound muddy or muffled, but should be as
clear as sound recorded with an external microphone.
1.2 Levels
Proper levels should always be used for files uploaded to RevoStock.
Audio files that include distortion will not be accepted. Please inspect
your levels and visual inspect your audio file if possible to be check for
clipping, pops, cracks, noise or other negative audio issues.
1.3 Noise
As a rule, audio files uploaded to RevoStock should be clean and
noise-free. The only exception would be in the case of ambient situations
where some sort of noise is absolutely necessary and is purposefully included
and intended. Keep your files as clean and clear as possible.
1.4 Content
RevoStock.com is only looking for high quality, interesting and useable
content. Audio files that come across as being "homemade" will
not be accepted.
2. AUDIO FILE FORMAT STANDARDS
2.1 Acceptable Formats
RevoStock.com will accept audio files in either the Microsoft WAV, MAC aiff
or MP3 audio formats. If using MP3, you MUST encode your file at 320 KBps.
Pricing varies based on the length of the audio files. See our current rate and royalty structure information on rates and royalties.
2.4 Bit-Rate and Sample Rates
Our system will accept audio files uploaded at sample rates of 44.1 Khz or 48 Khz. Please do not upload files recorded at other sample rates as our encoder will not recognize them.
All of your audio should be 16-Bit only.
2.3 Audio Files Length and Categories
RevoStock.com uses 2 major audio file categories and the allowable lengths of your
audio files depends on which category your audio files fits into.
- Sound Effect Files (2-30 seconds): Sound Effect files
uploaded to RevoStock may be between 2 and 30 seconds long and will have a
fixed price. If a sound effect is longer than 30 seconds, you may upload
it as 2 separate files and tie the 2 files together using a
"series."
- Music Files (15+ seconds): Music files may be 15 seconds or longer. Because a 30 second music file can be as complex or valuable as a 4:00 music file, all music is priced at a flat rate. To see our current rates for stock music click here: Rate and royalty structure
- Complexity - All music files even at the 15 second level must have a certain amount of complexity to warrant the music category.
- Loops - RevoStock does not accept Loops, meaning a simple short looping beat or musical section. This does not mean that your song may not be loopable, but each piece should have a level of complexity that goes beyond a simple looped beat or other instrument.
3. Unacceptable Content
RevoStock.com reserves the right to refuse any content that we consider pornographic, obscene, offensive, sexually suggestive, controversial, or
content that we deem unsuitable for the RevoStock library.
4. ACCOUNT AND ROYALTY PAYMENT INFORMATION
4.1 Account Information
Your account information must be full and correct when signing up with us to contribute
audio files. We must have your correct Name, Address, phone number and email address. Your information is protected and will not be given out to third parties. Please check our privacy policy for more details. If any of your information is not correct, please click "My Account" in order to update it.
4.2 Royalty Payments
RevoStock.com only pays our producers their royalties via paypal. This method is secure and safe for both us and our producers. Each time your
audio file is downloaded you make money! Payments will be delivered via PayPal on the 15th of each month. If you do not have a PayPal account, it is easy and secure! Sign up now at http://www.paypal.com/. At the end of this application process you will be asked for your PayPal information. For information on royalty payments and how much you can make click here.
Your royalties are collected until you choose to withdraw them and receive payment. For instance, you may want to wait until your royalties reach $100 before withdrawing them. Once your royalties reach $100, click on the "Withdraw Royalties"
link in the left-bav bar. There you may either choose to withdraw these royalties or convert them into credits and receive bonus credits.
Important note: When you withdraw your royalties you will still
have to wait until the 15th for the payment to be processed via
paypal. Royalty withdrawals must be made on or before the 8th of each month. On the 15th of each month we do a mass payment to paypal which
submits all the royalties for payment at one time. If you have any

4.3 Exclusive and Non-Exclusive Royalty Contracts
There are two types of contracts you may enter into with RevoStock.com. Each time you upload
an audio file, you will be able to choose which type of contract you would like to enter into for that specific
audio file. Here are the two types of contracts:
4.3.1 EXCLUSIVE CONTRACT - An exclusive contract means that you choose
to only sell your audio files in downloadable format through RevoStock.com and you will not sell it in downloadable format through any other website. You may however, sell your
audio files in downloadable format through your own website. You may also resell your
audio files in any "hard" format such as DVD, CD, Tape, etc. This only applies to downloadable websites
similiar to RevoStock.com.
The reason for entering into an exclusive contract is more money for you! The royalty rate for our exclusive producers is higher than it is for our non-exclusive ones. To see our current royalty rates click here.
4.3.2 NON-EXCLUSIVE CONTRACT - A non-exclusive contract means that you are free to sell your
audio files through any other downloadable web-site you choose as well as through RevoStock.com. Non-exclusive contracts yield lower royalty rates. Click here to see our current royalty rates.
CHANGING CONTRACTS - At any time you may switch a piece of audio files from an exclusive contract to a non-exclusive one or vice versa. Just

5. COPYRIGHTS
5.1 Ownership
You absolutely MUST be the sole creator/producer/recorder or you must have full and complete ownership rights to all aspects of the audio files you upload and sell through RevoStock.com.
Sound Effects: Any sound effects uploaded must have been
recorded BY YOU. You may not under any circumstance upload to RevoStock
any sound effect files that you yourself did not personally capture and record
with your own sound recording equipment.
You may not under any circumstance upload sound effects that you
acquired from other sources such as sound effects CD's or files you downloaded
from other sound effect websites. Users who upload files that the user
does not fully own will be subject to immediate termination of their RevoStock
account and may be subject to legal prosecution.
Music Files: Any music files uploaded to RevoStock must have
been recorded/created/produced by you or under your authority. You may not
under any circumstance upload to RevoStock any music files that you do not own
the complete rights to.
You may not under any circumstance upload any music files that you acquired
from other sources such as CD's or files you downloaded from other royalty-free
music websites. Users who upload files that the user does not fully own
will be subject to immediate termination of their RevoStock account and may be
subject to legal prosecution.
5.2 Re-Formatting Music
You may not purchase audio files from any other royalty-free music source and
then proceed to use audio production methods to alter, re-touch or change the
audio file, and then upload it to our website for sale. This is very
important. If you do so, you could be held liable. If
an audio files is uploaded that you do not completely own, your account will be
immediately terminated and legal measures may be taken against you.
